Line Senatore Cappelli
Once called "the chosen race", it is a durum wheat obtained by genealogical selection in 1915 in Foggia from Nazareno Strampelli and so named in honor of Senatore Cappelli, father of agrarian reform. Senatore Cappelli wheat is a pure durum wheat that has not undergone genetic mutations or crossings by humans. It has great nutritional qualities, a lower gluten content than other hard grains, while maintaining a high protein content. Good presence of trace elements too.
